Student Dispersal Policy – Indian Public School Howrah
At Indian Public School Howrah, the safety and smooth dispersal of our students is our top priority. We have established clear guidelines and timings for student dispersal at both our Howrah Maidan and Shalimar branches to ensure an organized and secure process for all students, parents, and guardians.
School Timings
Howrah Maidan Branch
- Nursery & LKG:
Commences at 8:15 am | Dispersal at 11:00 am - Junior Section (UKG to Class 8):
Commences at 11:30 am | Dispersal at 4:00 pm - Senior Section (Classes 9 to 12):
Commences at 7:00 am | Dispersal at 11:15 am
Shalimar Branch
- Nursery, LKG & UKG:
Commences at 8:00 am | Dispersal at 11:30 am - Junior Section (Classes 1 to 6):
Commences at 11:15 am | Dispersal at 3:30 pm - Senior Section (Classes 7 to 10):
Commences at 7:00 am | Dispersal at 11:20 am
Dispersal Guidelines
For Non-Bus Students
- Escort Card Requirement:
Parents or authorized guardians must present the official Escort Card at the school gate to collect their child. Students will not be handed over without this card. - Lost or Misplaced Escort Card:
If the Escort Card is lost, a written application signed by both parents and approved by the Principal is required for student release. - Emergency Early Dispersal:
- Submit a written application to the school office.
- Present the Escort Card.
- Sign the School Leaving Register.
- Obtain a Permission Slip, which must be shown at the gate before leaving.
- Timely Pickup:
Students must be picked up promptly at dispersal time. No student is permitted to stay back after school hours. - Car Pool Arrangements:
- Car pool vehicles must leave the premises immediately after the first dispersal.
- Car pool students will be released only after all school buses have departed.
For Bus Students
- Snack Policy:
Please do not send tetra juice boxes or chips packets with children traveling by school bus. A light snack in a tiffin box is recommended for the journey.
Important Reminders
- Escort Card is Mandatory:
For the safety of all students, the Escort Card system is strictly enforced. - No Delays:
Parents are requested to avoid any delay in picking up their children after school dispersal. - No Waiting on Campus:
Car pools and private vehicles must not wait on school premises for subsequent dispersals. - Permission for Early Departure:
Early departure is allowed only under genuine emergencies and with proper authorization.
